Outdoor Games 5-12
Grades 5-12

Teacher absence policy-Substitution
Course Description: This dynamic outdoor class is an opportunity to play various group games that encourage movement and socializing while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and communication. Games are chosen to capture the interest of those who have never played traditional team sports, but those who have may apply, refine, and model foundational motor and movement skills in a fun and inclusive context. We will shape the class to accommodate the group’s needs and ages.
We will meet in rain, snow, or shine, so students need to dress for whatever weather is predicted for the day. If class gets canceled due to extremely cold temperatures, the instructor will offer a makeup day at the end of the year.
*This class includes a social lunch period inside from 12:30-1 after we play games. Students who want to enroll in one of the other 12:30 classes may eat lunch outside during our debriefing, or we may go inside a little early.
