Grades 5-6

Course Description: Please read the “Math Course Explained” in the “Classes” tab to find the best fit for your student. What if there was a math course offered that just took the necessary time to explain and review the basics all with the intention of preparing a student for higher math? What if this same student has some fractions but is not quite ready for the Basic Math I course? And what if a student just needed a calm setting where the teacher spoke in their learning style and the student began to build confidence? Too good to be true? Not really. This 5th – 6th grade math course provides students with fundamental math necessary for advancing into higher math. Such concepts as multiplication, the dreaded long division, fraction concepts, the accuracy and necessity for mental math, simple introductory concepts for middle school math, and more. The pace is slow and the weekly homework is manageable. There are weekly homework assignments, weekly quizzes, and maybe assessments. Teacher will grade quizzes and assessments and parents will grade the homework. Can contact the teacher with questions.
