Course Description: High School Essay Writing: This course provides students instruction on the varied types of essays, the writing process, citations, editing, etc. Students will learn the process of writing from brainstorming through to the finished essay. The teacher will meet with students both collectively and individually online; however, while the teacher will always be available to the student(s) throughout the week, this course will not meet every week as the assignments warrant time for the writing process. Parents will receive a month-to-month class schedule so students know when class meets, when class does not meet, and when they have an individual meeting with the teacher. This class requires effective time management skills by both the parent and the student. It is imperative that students registered for this academic class have the intention to complete the assignments, attend the online class, can be unsupervised, and participate when necessary.
