Course Description: Using a short, incremental but comprehensive approach, this class will provide a no-nonsense path through fractions, a necessary skill for pre-algebra. It is a four-book series covering fraction concepts, multiplying and dividing, adding and subtracting, and mixed numbers. Students will be required to complete weekly homework assignments, take quizzes and tests, and participate in class.

Time: Mondays; Cornerstone; 11 AM – 12 PM; follows FEC’s school calendar
Cost: $140 per student/per semester; CASH or CHECK only; $5.00 discount if paid in CASH; half payment DUE first week of semester; second half DUE fifth week of semester
Supply Fee: One-time, non-refundable $25.00/year; OPTIONAL Report Card Fee of $25.00/year
Class Prerequisite: average working knowledge of multiplication numbers 1 – 12 and how multiplication works.
Materials Teacher Will Provide: Homework, Quizzes, Assessment via email; online help if needed
Materials Students Must Provide: Notebook, 1 1/2″ binder, WORKING calculator, pencils, erasers
Maximum Enrollment: 8
Parent Requirements: Parents must purchase the Key to Fractions 4 Book series and the Homework Answer Key; Parents MUST grade student workbooks and ensure students are completing their weekly assignments and are turned in each week.
