Course Description: Embark on an ocean-themed educational journey to explore and connect to the world through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The instructor will use the FIRST LEGO League Explorer Curriculum to focus on the fundamentals of engineering and inspire students to experiment and grow critical thinking and design skills. Together, we will learn how and why people explore the ecosystems in the ocean’s layers. Teams experience an engineering process to help them learn to design, code, and create unique solutions to 21st-century problems using LEGO bricks and a LEGO Education SPIKE set. Teams will explore complex questions, investigate solutions, use creative thinking, and share learning accomplishments.
