Course Description: Art Journaling– Bookmaking. Each student will receive a blank mixed media book to fill with a variety of Art. We will work on realism, cartoon drawing & abstract collage. We will use a variety of mediums, inks, water-soluble markers & crayons, pens & paints. Bookmaking will consist of deconstruction of a book & dying paper to sew signatures together to create our own personal style of the book. Some Artists call this junk journaling. We will also construct journals out of file folders, with the right folding it will have many pockets. Very hands-on class with ongoing projects daily.

Supply Fee:  Onetime fee of $30/yr. Due at startup

Class Prerequisite:  Some drawing skills will be helpful.

Materials Teacher Will Provide: All materials provided by Teacher. Some of which will be a spiral-bound blank mixed media book, stencils, stamps, markers, pens, colored pencils watercolor & acrylic paint, a variety of papers, washi tape, adhesives, & gesso.

Parent Requirements: Your children will use safe paper cutters, craft knives & hand sewing needles.
