Course Description:
Semester 1 – Coming to America
Have you ever wondered how immigrants came to America? How did they live after first arriving? Did they come on the Mayflower or did they come through Ellis Island? Were they an indentured servant or slave? Join us while we discover what the first immigrants dealt with when they first got off the ships, what they ate, where they lived, and the start of America as we know it.
Semester 2 – Westward Expansion
Join me on an adventure where we will learn about the Oregon Trail, Daniel Boone, the California Gold Rush, the Klondike Gold Rush, the Louisiana Purchase, Lewis and Clark, Pioneer Life, the Pony Express, and much more!
It is very important that students bring supplies to class every week.
This class will contain foods with dyes, gluten, and dairy.

Cost: $150 PER Semester includes Supply Fee

Class Prerequisite: Students must be able to listen to directions, read, and write.
Materials Teacher Will Provide: all other supplies
Materials Students Must Provide: One 2 pocket folder, 2 pencils, scissors, glue stick, crayons, pencil sharpener, and markers.
Minimum Enrollment: 8
Maximum Enrollment: 20
Parent Requirements: Parents will need to make sure the student is doing homework and turning it in each week. Parents need to make sure that their student brings their supplies each week.
