Course Description: This middle-high school math course provides students with the fundamental math skills necessary for pre-algebra and pre-geometry. If you have a student that struggles with math concepts or math processes, this class is for your student. The pace is slow and the weekly homework is manageable. The course will cover such things as the number system, ratios, proportions, and percents, expressions and equations, and discounts and mark-ups. Students will be required to complete weekly homework assignments, weekly quizzes, and 5 assessments.

Time: Mondays; Cornerstone; 9 AM – 10 AM; follows FEC’s school calendar
Cost: $120 per student/per semester; CASH or CHECK only; $5.00 discount if paid in CASH; half payment DUE first week of semester; second half DUE fifth week of semester
Supply Fee: One-time, non-refundable $20.00/year; OPTIONAL Report Card Fee of $25.00/year
Class Prerequisite: Multiplication Tables 1-12
Materials Teacher Will Provide: Homework, Quizzes, and Assessments; on-line help if needed.
Materials Students Must Provide: Notebook, 1 1/2″ binder, pencils, WORKING Scientific Calculator
Minimum Enrollment: 4
Maximum Enrollment: 8
Parent Requirements: Parents MUST grade student’s homework (Answer Key provided); parents MUST ensure students turn in all of their assignments EACH WEEK.
