Course Description: 

In this class students will be learning how film itself works and how to use a film camera on manual mode to photograph black and white images. Students will also learn how to use an enlarger for black and white photos. 2 rolls of black and white film per student will be provided and additional rolls at a discounted price are available for further purchase. Color film at a discount will also be available and processing will be done through Photo Video Plus by Nathan Brown. Processing additional rolls will be available at a discounted price for students while in photography class. There will be a scavenger hunt with photos shown in class and emailed photos every Tuesday we have class. Prizes are TBD.

Class Prerequisite:  Ability to read/write, access to a film camera that can be used during the semester

Materials Teacher Will Provide:  2 rolls black and white 35mm film, film camera available but need to know ahead of time

Materials Students Must Provide:  Backpack/bag for camera and equipment, notebook/writing utensil for notes in class and take home materials

Minimum Enrollment:  4

Maximum Enrollment:  8

Parent Requirements:  Ability to help students find places for photography.
