Course Description: This class is for serious-minded student and will combine new student instruction with returning student instruction in the Vaganova (Russian) style of ballet technique. Students will continue developing ballet fundamentals while adding to their repertoire of movement through adaptable barre exercises, center and floor work utilizing allegro, grande allegro and enchainement (ballet combinations.) The first six weeks will be review and the remaining weeks will continue in the instruction from the Vaganova Syllabus Level III and up. Theatrical and movement games and the choreographic process are also included.

Cost: $300/year; invoices will be sent; annual payment due August 27 and November 5, 2024; CASH or CHECK ONLY; checks can be mailed to the address on the invoice

Class Prerequisite: The student must demonstrate the appropriate classroom attitude where instruction is given from the teacher, the student has the ability to self-correct and demonstrate self-control, and students will not inhibit others from learning. A failure to comply will have the student removed from class indefinitely without refund.
Materials Teacher Will Provide: Interactive props for the creative movement process and stickers for recognition.
Materials Students Must Provide: Appropriate dance class dress (modest workout type clothing, 2 pairs of cotton socks or ballet slippers, NO JEANS) and all hair of any length that can be placed into a braid or pony tail.

Maximum Enrollment: 20
Parent Requirements: removeParents must ensure their student is ready for class attendance which includes having their child’s hair placed into a braid or pony tail. Parents are also expected to share the class rules of participation with their child(ren) as often as is required. The class rules will be sent out via email before the first class of the year.
