Anatomy and Physiology

Grades 4-8

Teacher Gina Stockstill

Course Description:

The purpose of this class is to learn about the human body from the perspective of Psalm 139:13, 14, & 16. The goal will be to have a working knowledge of the major organs of the body: where they are located, what they do, and how they function together in the body. This is not an art class, but we will be using different mediums to create replicas of human organs with the goal of having a complete torso of organs to take home. Hopefully, we’ll be looking at and handling any animal organs I can procure that are similar to human organs. While I’m comfortable fielding questions about the human reproductive system I will not be including this subject in the curriculum due to the sensitivity of the topic; it will be left to individual families to teach at home.
