Course Description: Please read the “Math Course Explained” in the “Classes” tab to find the best fit for your student. This middle/high school math course provides students with a broad overview for pre-geometry and geometry concepts. It seeks to provide students with a strong start to a future geometry program or a comprehensive program for struggling learners. If your students are ready for geometry or is a struggling student, this class is for you. The pace is slow and the weekly homework is manageable. There are weekly homework assignments, weekly quizzes, and 5 assessments. This course covers a wide range of concepts such as angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, Pythagorean Theorem, 2-D & 3-D shapes, area, volume, composite figures, solids of revolution, parallel lines, transversals, proving special angles & parallel lines, dilations and more. Class Prerequisite: PRE-REQUISITE: A strong working knowledge of computation skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, & dividing). You do not need Basic Math I or II to place in this course. It is suggested but not necessary.
Materials Teacher Will Provide: Online platform; additional online time if needed, handwritten notes, homework, quizzes, answer key, and assessments.
Materials Students Must Provide: Notebook for additional notetaking, pencils.

Parent Requirements: To ensure assignments are being completed and turned in for grading.
